Importing prospects to the template

After successfully creating the template in Woodpecker, you can start importing prospects so the videos are generated specifically for them.

In the Templates tab, click on the “Import prospects” icon at the top of the template. The CSV file for uploading has to have:

  • email

  • first name

  • website (if you chose the option to use the prospect’s website as a background in the video)

At the moment, duplicates are not detected. If it so happens that there are two of the same email addresses in the file you add to AI Video, two videos will be generated, thus collecting two credits.

Keep in mind that if you upload a list with a mistake, for example, one prospect with an incorrectly typed email address, you'll have to add this prospect again. A new video will be generated, thus collecting another credit. There's no option to delete already imported prospects into the AI Video system.

Please note that the headers in the CSV file should be named as such: email, name, and website.

Our system will not identify other formats.

In case there’s an error after uploading, check the file if everything is written correctly. Correct upload of the file will result in an appropriate message:

As soon as the file is uploaded and processed, you will have to wait a few minutes for the video links to be generated. At the bottom of the page, there’s a credit bar that tells you how many video credits were used in the subscription plan already – the number will increase immediately after importing the prospects file.

Once you see that a certain number of video credits was used, you can check the generated links by clicking on the “Download list with video links (.csv)” icon. The generated links with First name snippet inserted will be available in the CSV file.

The generated file, in addition to the data previously included, will also contain the date of the video generation and information about the video status: ERROR, IN_PROGRESS, or DONE.

Generated video in a campaign

In order to use the generated video in a campaign, you’ll have to import the generated CSV file to your designated campaign, as you would normally import a file with prospects. If done in the main Prospects tab, it won’t work – it has to be done in the campaign.

The video itself can be inserted directly via the AI Video snippet in the email editor.

The generated video thumbnail can be checked in the campaign preview. After clicking on the thumbnail, users/prospects will be redirected to the new tab, where they can watch the video.

Links to the generated videos and their thumbnails are included in the CSV file generated in the Templates tab so you can use them individually.
