With OpenAI integration, you can generate a cold email copy directly from Woodpecker campaign email editor.

OpenAI is a powerful artificial intelligence platform that can be used to enhance the capabilities of various software tools, including Woodpecker. With OpenAI integration, we’re giving you the ability to generate the subject line and email content in the campaign edit mode. By using this option, you can save the time spent on creating the copy yourself.

Generating email content by OpenAI can be especially useful to avoid coming across as impersonal or generic if you are not the best in copywriting.


Note: OpenAI integration is available for every user, so there's no need to purchase the API keys & integration add-on.


How to use OpenAI in the campaign?

When you get to the email creation step of creating a campaign, you have the option to use the OpenAI integration. Click on the link in the email copy editor or on the icon in the lower right corner of the email editor, where a pencil with the AI letters is visible.

Once you click on it, the window will appear, and that’s where you can start creating your prompt for ChatGPT. Write your prompt in the first field, for example:

“Generate a unique cold email for a customer that may be interested in joining partner program”

Remember that the more information you provide in the prompt, the more specific and varied the email copy can be.

Choose the tone of voice in which you would like to receive the generated text from the available list of options:

  • Formal and anticipated,

  • Less formal, more resourceful,

  • Informal and creative.

Select the desired text length from the last dropdown list. Specify if the text should be short, medium, long, or super long.

Once you have determined all three things, click on the "Generate" button. This might take a few seconds, as we are sending your prompt to the ChatGPT, and are waiting for the reply.

The AI-generated content will then appear in the editor as ready for editing, and you can correct it yourself, or add our snippets to it.


Follow-ups with one click

The integration can be quickly used to create you follow-up emails without the need to write the prompts. If you've written the first email, simply click to add the next step and click on the "generate it with AI" link.

After a moment, the generated text will show up, and it's ready for editing – it's always recommended to check it before sending.

There’s a limit of 10 generated texts per step.

Yes, the prompt character limit can range from 10-500 characters.

Q.: Is there a limit to the length of the generated text?

Yes, the generated copy won’t be longer than 750 words.

Q.: How much time can it take to generate text?

Generating text can take on average between 13 and 25 sec for 200 tokens (approx. 150 words).

Q.: What languages can I write a prompt in?

You can write the prompt in among others: English, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Chinese (both simplified and traditional), Japanese, Korean, and Arabic.

However, it's important to note that while the model can understand and generate text in these languages, its proficiency may vary depending on the language and the complexity of the task.

The reply will be generated in the language you used in the prompt.
