With Templates, you’re able to set up frequently used email copies and keep them all saved in Woodpecker. This feature is available to all users, except Guests (who can’t create or edit campaigns).

Creating templates

There are three ways to reach templates in our app. The first way is through the Templates tab at the top bar, next to the Inbox.

You can start setting up your copy there, with the fields to name the template, decide on a subject, and write the email content to use in campaigns. Feel free to use snippets, text formatting, links, and images – as in a typical email.

For even more organization and personalization, you can use tags, with different colors and names, so you can easily find them afterward.

The second place you’ll find templates is the email editor in the campaign edit mode. Look for the Templates icon on the bottom bar of the window.

Choose the template from the list. If you can’t find the one you’re looking for, use the option to filter the list by tags or by the creator.

The email editor gives you the option to create the template directly from this field, so you don’t have to go to the Template tab every time you’d like to make a new copy.

To do so, click on the Templates icon, and select the “New from this draft” option. Name the template and save your work by clicking the button below.

Keep in mind that if you use the template for your email, and start editing said email, the template won’t be updated to such a change.

The third place you can access templates is the Inbox. When you want to create a new message directly from there, just click on the “New email” button.

The email editor will open, with the Templates icon on the bottom bar, along with the other editing options.

Deleting templates

There is nothing complicated about removing templates. All you have to do is go to the Templates tab, click on the three dots icon in the corner of the selected template, and select the "Delete" option.

Removing the template will not affect existing campaigns.

There is no need for this, as you set the email signature in your account settings.

Q.: Can I copy the existing template?

Sure you can! Head to the Templates tab, click the dots icon on the template you'd like to copy, and select the "Copy" option.
