Acquiring customers and promoting Woodpecker to Partner Program referrals:

a) Cookies

Tracking cookies is one of the most important elements of bringing new customers to the Woodpecker Partner Program.

We trace the referral fees through the use of cookies. We won't be able to pay a commission if we can't track traffic from your website to the Woodpecker website via a referral link, for example – if the customer is using cookie-blocking software or the link has been altered in ways that don't follow our official guidelines. Woodpecker will only pay Commissions based on the sales that can be traced by cookies back to the Partner.

The cookie provided with a Partner link stays valid for 30 days. In this period, the customer will be assigned as referred by you (this period will be extended every time the referred customer uses your Partner link).

As we have many Partners trying to reach many customers, we respect the rule “first come, first served,” which means that if potential customers click on a Partner link of another Partner, their cookies will be assigned to the customer.


b) When are Partners being paid their commission?

There’s one basic rule regarding a commission for Partners. We assign commissions based on your sales, and that's the key factor.

In a perfect scenario, the whole process would look like the one listed below. To generate the commission, the customer to which the Partner recommended Woodpecker has to:

  1. use a browser that has its cookies setting enabled;

  2. follow a Referral link;

  3. purchase any number of slots for any of the Woodpecker products and successfully pay Woodpecker a Subscription fee;

  4. remain a Woodpecker Customer for at least 30 days starting from correctly registered payment for the Subscription.

The Partner will get a commission of 20% gross of net Referral Income of every Woodpecker Subscription connected to the Partner through a Referral link. There are no time or amount limits for commission generated by referred customers.

The referral fee is reported as due to the Partner within 30 days from the beginning of the Customer's Subscription term to avoid any technical issues and refunds that might happen. So, the commission obtained in one month can be paid out next month.


c) Where can you promote Woodpecker and get new customers?

Creating a Partner account was easy. But where can you promote and look for customers for Woodpecker?

You may post as many Referral links to Woodpecker as you find necessary. Please make sure that any website (excluding internet search engines) with your Referral link meets the Partner Program Terms.


d) Where can't you promote Woodpecker?

Our Partner Program Terms are pretty straightforward in that manner. You can’t promote Woodpecker in any of the following:

  1. Advertise in search engines and purchase or register search engine keywords, Google Ads, search terms, or other identifying terms that Woodpecker considers in its sole discretion as promoting sexually explicit materials, violence, weapons or firearms, illegal activities, fake or counterfeit items, promoting betting or gambling, any form of discrimination based on sex, race, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or infringing upon others’ intellectual property rights;

  2. Register any domain names which are identical or similar to Woodpecker or any other trademarks owned by Woodpecker, and Partner will at all times comply with reasonable guidelines for the use of such trademarks as may be issued from time to time;

  3. Install spyware on another person’s computer; cause spyware to be installed on another person’s computer, or use a context-based triggering mechanism to display an advertisement that partially or wholly covers or obscures paid advertising other content on a website in a way that interferes with a person’s ability to view that website;


e) The customer was referred, but they’re not visible in my panel – what to do?

Every referred customer starts a sequence of events notifying a Partner about acquiring a new customer:

  1. After successfully referring a customer, the Partner gets an email with the following information:

Similar sequences are activated by referred customers who buy a Woodpecker premium account and generate commission for a Partner.

But what if you’re sure that you followed all the steps of promoting Woodpecker and you still do not get any referred customers – what could’ve happened?

Here’s a list of the most common problems our Partners face:

  1. Referred client didn’t use the Partner Link

  2. Referred client had cookie-blocking software in a browser

  3. Referred client deleted the cookie assigned to their browser

  4. Referred client used a Partner link of another Partner


You’re sure that you referred a certain customer, but their account wasn’t assigned as referred by you - what can you do?

Send us the details of the referring customer (exact customer email, exact time of registration, and any additional details which could allow us to verify these customers) at [email protected], and we’ll do our best to work it out.

After positive verification, we’ll manually assign a customer as referred by you.

But please keep in mind that because of the technical and financial procedures, we can’t pay past commissions as you would be eligible only for the next and future commissions from this customer:

  • If you report to us to manually assign the referred client, and we verify your request positively, the commission from their payments will be accounted for the following month.

  • If you do the same, but the client is still on a trial period or just after the first payment ever, and we verify your request positively, the commission from their payment will be accounted for from the current month.


f) Why can’t I see any details of the referred customer?

The answer to that question is quite simple - GDPR. The General Data Protection Regulation is a Regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the EU and the European Economic Area. The GDPR is an essential component of EU privacy and human rights laws. It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas.

Woodpecker is a GDPR-compliant company, so we cannot share customer data with external parties.

But what if I’m uncertain if the referred customer registered successfully?

In such cases, you can provide us with details of the referring customer (exact customer email, exact time of registration, and any additional information which could allow us to verify this customer) at [email protected].


Commission payout:

  • What is the Woodpecker Partner Program payout procedure?

To set automated payments, go to the Main tab of the Partner panel and set the switch from “On hold” to “Pay.”

During the first payout request, you’ll be asked to fill in the data required by us to send you your commission:

After providing information about the Country of residence, we’ll ask you for additional information for the Polish IRS:

You're ready to go after providing all the information (you can correct or change it later).

Our Terms state how to get a payout from the Woodpecker Partner Program:

  1. You have to provide all the required information as in the previous steps.

  2. The default payment method is PayPal.

  3. The minimum amount to payout is 8 USD.

  4. If you want to be paid via bank transfer, the minimum payout amount is 100 USD.

  6. If you’re running a company, you can send your invoices at [email protected]

  7. If you’re based in Poland, you must send an invoice per the Polish tax law.

After acquiring a referred client premium who paid for Woodpecker, we calculate the predicted commission, which will be added to your account after closing the month at the end of each month.


What benefits do Woodpecker Partners get?

a) Partner benefits:

The Partner gets a recurring commission of 20% gross of net Referral Income of every Woodpecker Subscription connected to the Partner through the Referral link. There are no time or amount limits for commission generated by referred customers.

Partners can offer extended trial periods for referred customers. The Partner trial period lasts 30 days and allows to send up to 500 free emails to test Woodpecker (our standard trial is 7 days and 50 emails).

The partner is allowed to make some adjustments to their Partner account:

  1. Partners can lower their commission from 20% in exchange for a discount for referred customers (for example, the Partner can exchange 10% of the commission for a 10% discount, keeping a 10% commission).

  2. Partners can adjust the trial period. They can ask to shorten it from 30 days and 500 emails to shorter periods (for example, to shorten it from 30 days to 14 days).

b) Do I have to be a Woodpecker customer to get a Partner Account?

No, you don’t have to be a Woodpecker customer to run your Partner account. The Woodpecker customer account and the Woodpecker Partner account are two different things.

c)Where do I find Woodpecker promotional materials or a Brand Kit?

Currently, we have one package containing all promotional materials for Woodpecker.
