You can connect your LinkedIn account directly to Woodpecker and automate your outreach with tasks designed for such integration. When connecting the account to Woodpecker, you purchase a LinkedIn slot, costing $29 monthly.
Connecting the LinkedIn account
Head to the Settings ➞ Accounts tab, and click the LinkedIn subtab. Click on the “Add LinkedIn account” button, and a screen will appear where you can enter the login credentials used in your LinkedIn account. Apart from that, select your country from the dropdown list.
If the credentials are correct, a window will appear to enter the verification code LinkedIn sent to your email address.
After entering the code, you will be successfully connected to your account and can use it in a campaign.
Creating the campaign with LinkedIn tasks
When creating a Woodpecker campaign, you can choose a LinkedIn Automation task in any sequence step.
You have three types of tasks to choose from:
Visit profile,
Send connection request,
Send direct message.
Each task has its limits as to how many can be performed daily. The limits depend on the type of your LinkedIn account: Free, Premium, Sales Navigator, or Recruiter.
In the first path of the campaign, choose the type of step, and in this case, it would be LinkedIn → Automation task.
Select the type of task that you want to be performed: visit profile, send a connection request, or send a direct message.
For connection requests and direct messages (both on LinkedIn), you can write your message in the campaign editor, keeping in mind the character limits for these types of messages. Also, keep this in mind when adding snippets to messages.
You can try out different versions of messages to send out connection requests and direct messages by using A/B testing. After you choose one of those two actions, just click on the "+" icon to add another version. You can have up to 5 of them within one LinkedIn action.
The next thing to be done is to choose the account from which the action should be performed. Click on the “Choose account” option on the right side of the window, and select your connected account.
No matter which task is chosen, it is possible to select a different account from which it has to be performed for each step. Of course, this is allowed if you have a few LinkedIn accounts connected to Woodpecker.
You can set up your campaign with LinkedIn automation tasks only, or choose other types of steps, such as email, manual task, a call, or an SMS.
If the whole flow is already planned, go to the campaign summary and click on the "Run" button to start the campaign.
In case you want to see how the flow looks before starting it, click on the "Preview" button in the Summary section of creating the campaign.
In the Preview, you can customize the first step of your campaign, just by clicking on the "customize" link above the message window (if it’s the connection request or a direct message).
And that’s it! With the tasks arranged in a campaign, you’ll just have to monitor them in the main campaign statistics.
LinkedIn limits
Depending on your LinkedIn account type, you have different daily limits for sending connection requests or direct messages.
First, keep in mind that in order to perform a full automated LinkedIn outreach, the account has to be warmed up – if you use a newly created LinkedIn account, you might get suspended by LinkedIn if they detect unusually high activity from it.
For details on these limits, it’s best to check your account type: Free, Premium, Sales Navigator, or Recruiter. For all accounts, the default limit for connection requests with a message is 5 per month. This information will also appear when choosing the LinkedIn account in the Woodpecker campaign step.
For connection requests without a message, the daily limit for a Basic account is 25 requests. For Sales Navigator, the recommended limit is 30 requests per day.
As for direct messages, the daily limit for Basic accounts is 50 messages, and for Sales Navigator, it’s 250 messages per day.
These limits cannot be changed inside Woodpecker.
